Very nice and informative. I recently started the hard lifting. I believe I reached a plateau. I increased weights and am lifting faster.
I agree with the supplement confusion. I was taking quite a few supplements and found that they only made me bloated. Now if anything I take fish oil and a buffered aspirin a day.
Diet really is key. I think a lot of women especially get caught up on counting calories. I know I do. I log everything I eat. Trying to get past that. We also get caught up on the number on the scale. Should be way less focus on that and more focus on how we feel, how our clothes fit.

Well written post Swanso5! Remember folks you can't buy a healthy body or lifestyle by taking a magic pill or using 1 exercise machine, drink, or fancy DVD program done conveniently in your own home. You will not have 6 pack abs like you see on tv from an infommercial and you won't look like the fitness models on the cover of the magazines in 6-8 weeks. Please don't waste your money. It takes hard work, determination, a discpline of diet , and the will power to know you can succeed. If you are just starting, please don't give up. If you have been training forever and just want to continue, keep up the great work! If you're still sitting in your rump... WHAT ARE YOU WATING FOR? The benefits of a healthy lifestyle far outweigh the risks. You'll never regret it

This is what I preach to best friend... there is no quick or miracle pill when it comes to getting in shape. Face it, it is WORK and COMMITTMENT.
